Name of creator
The Trail North Foundation was incorporated in November 1976 as a non-profit organization and subsequently registered as a charity with Revenue Canada. The objectives of the organization included preservation of the historic Athabasca Landing Trail, protection and restoration of buildings adjacent to the trail, identification and protection of areas of interesting natural attributes, and development of cultural, educational and recreational opportunities complementing the heritage of the trail. The Foundation became inactive in 1986.
Name of creator
Athabasca Archives holds prints and copies of maps including Athabasca River, Town of Athabasca, Athabasca County, river lot plan, real estate, planning, sectional sheets W4M, hand-drawn, Hudson Bay Co. reserve, Alberta, Canada and North America maps. The collection also includes blue prints and aerial photos.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of materials created by the Trail North Foundation between 1975 and 1986. The fonds consists of minutes of the Trail North Foundation, general administrative files, heritage inventory files, financial records, special events, copies of the newspaper:Trail North Telegraph, photographs, maps, artifacts and books; blueprints for the Northern Transportation Museum.

Donated to the Athabasca Archives by the Trail North Foundation between 1986 and 1989.
