Biographical history

Stan Schellenberger (1948 -) was born in Edmonton. He attended the University of Alberta and received his 1970 and a P. Ag in 1972. Married with one son, in 1972 he was elected to the House of Commons from the electoral district of Wetaskiwin-Leduc and continued to be the Member of Parliament for this District until 1988, when he retired. During his terms in office Stan Schellenberger was Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health and Welfare and Chair of the Standing Committee on Indian and Northern Affairs.

Fonds consists of materials created by Stan Schellenberger as a Progressive Conservative member of parliament for Leduc-Wetaskiwin from 1972-1984. The fonds consists of these series: 1. Constituent files (1973- 1988) Series includes correspondence, follow-up information and other materials relating to Wetaskiwin-Leduc constituents. 2. Subject files (1973-1988) Series consists of reports, photocopies, news releases and other material on local, provincial and national issues. 3. Appearances (1973- 1980) Consists of letters and invitations regarding appearances at local events.
