History

Ian Robertson was a member of the Lovat Scout, a Scottish regiment, which trained in Jasper (1943-1944). After completing his training, he was sent to Europe for 6 months, then spent two years in Greece. He was de-mobilized in 1947. He married Jasper native Leila (Tim) Morris in 1951 in Stoke on Trent, England. They lived there for two years, and then returned to Canada in 1954. They had four children, Janet (1953), Andrew (1954), Duncan (1960), and Kate (1963).
