Fonds consists of the administrative and operational records created, accumulated, and used by the Recreation section at the City of Red Deer between 1946 and 2016.

The types of records included are correspondence, minutes and agendas, memoranda, facility architectural drawings, films and videos, photographs and slides, maps, posters, and computer disks. The fonds consists of a membership certificate for Lewis Ivers, 3 Oddfellow Officers lists, 3 “Entertainment Hall” licenses and one handwritten note regarding “Hall Rent”, as well as a plaque “Placed in Memory of Brother Clarence Umscheid, Oct. 14, 1960”, inscribed with names and dates from 1932-1980.

The fonds consists of minutes of annual and executive meetings of the Peace River Archaeology Society from discussions regarding its founding in 1988 to its dissolution in 2001; newsletters detailing activities from 1988 to 1995; project files containing slides, negatives, and field notes for the Grande Prairie Inventory in 1985, the Birch Hills Survey in 1987 and the Peace Project in 1991; reference files with articles on archaeological articles on the Peace Country and news clippings from 1946 to 1995; and issues of the Alberta Archaeological Review from 1986 and 1997-2001. There is also a map marked with locations of archaeological finds in the Grande Prairie area.

North Kleskun Ladies Club fonds

The fonds consists of minute books 1948-1999, financial records 1949-1997, correspondence 1949-1998, cook books (1982 and 1992), records relating to the Kleskun School Reunion 1987, and the Ladies Club Reunion 1990. There are also 58 photographs taken of club members, various events, and quilts made by the club.
There was no discernible original order in the records when they arrived. Order was imposed on them by the archivist based on the content of the records.

Correspondence Associated with Scottish Branch, British Red Cross Society

The Spirit Valley Women's Institute received a list of ten names of elderly and ill people in need in Lochgelly, Fife, Scotland from the Scottish Branch of the British Red Cross. After sending food parcels to the people on the list, they received several letters thanking them. Correpondents include: William Whyte, Margaret M. Scott, Mrs. I. I. Wilson, Mrs. M. Jennings, Jenny Whyte, Mrs. L. Greenhorn, and Mrs. (Hugh) L. MacDonald.
