Administrative history

In response to a boom in population in the Central Alberta region, in 1947 several rural public school divisions joined with the Red Deer Public School District No. 104 in the creation of a regional composite high school and a vocational school. The schools were built on federal land that had been part of the former A-20 Army Camp on the eastern boundary of the City of Red Deer. In 1969 the two schools were merged into a comprehensive school. And in the following year the school was named the Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School after a well-known Red Deer teacher. The school continues in operation.

Custodial history
