Biographical history
Lawrence Tippie was a farmer near Stettler, Alberta until 1964. He then moved to Red Deer, Alberta and opened the Red Deer Coin & Stamp Shop. He retired from his business in 1988.
Custodial history
Photograph album found by a cousin of Lawrence Tippie in an antique shop in Fort Scott, Kansas and sent to him because of his connection to Red Deer.
Scope and content
The collection consists of an album of photographs of the City of Red Deer and of the nearby Red Deer Indian Industrial School which was prepared by an unknown teacher at that school.
