Biographical history

The Home Circle Club was formed in Kinniburgh in 1914. In 1919, the Club became affiliated with the Alberta Women's Institutes and became the Kinniburgh Women's Institute. The Institute conducted a variety of projects, including fund-raising, organizing social events, publishing a local history book, and assisting war efforts in the Second World War. The Institute celebrated its 70th anniversary in 1989.

The fonds consists of minutes of the Kinniburgh Women's Institute and its predecessor, the Home Circle Club; cash books, correspondence, financial statements, flag salute and creed, membership lists, club history, bylaws and programs. Includes three photographs, of Women's Institute meetings.
