Biographical history
Jack Cassidy and his twin brother, Frank Cassidy, and their families emigrated from Marcus, WA to Athabasca Landing in 1907. After a stay in the Athabasca Immigration Hall, they homesteaded near Colinton, AB. In 1927 they moved to the Boyle, AB area. Jack and Katherine had ten children. Jack died in 1952 and Katherine in 1956. Frank and his wife had at least four children.

The fonds consists of photographs of the 1908 Cassidy tent home, 1910 log homestead house, twelve men and three teams hauling short log pieces used for making shingles, nineteen men in a threshing crew, and Frank's daughters Nell and Kathleen in 1923.
