This file consists of 6 laser copies of personal photos and 15 speeches that George H. Van Allen made during his political career. It includes speeches on the topics of agriculture, the oil industry in Alberta, social services, the provincial debt, the Great Depression, the Social Credit Party, the provincial budget of of 1936, and the Prosperity Certificates Act of 1936. George Van Allen was a staunch liberal who ran in the provincial election of 1935 in Edmonton. He won one of the five Liberal seats during the Social Credit landslide.
