Studio portrait of local pioneer Emma Christina Billsten. Born Emma Christina Anderson in Sweden, she was married to Charles J. Billsten in 1890 at Worchester, Massachusetts. In 1893 they moved to Canada and settled in the Malmo district near Wetaskiwin. Mrs. Billsten passed away on December 23, 1956 at the age of 93.<br><br>
