General note
Queen Elizabeth receives flowers from an unidentified girl on the steps of the Alberta Legislature Building in Edmonton. Premiere William Aberhart is standing next to a CBC microphone and Edmonton Mayor John Fry is standing to the left of the girl. According to Siding 16, written by A. Bert Reynolds, many people from Wetaskiwin attended the big event including Carl Walin, who with "a special armband issued from Ottawa...was allowed access to any point where he wished to take photographs" (44). This made him "one of three photographers permitted on the [C.N.R.] platform and steps of the Legislative Building" (45), not including the official photographers who accompanied the royal couple. The assigned call number for this print is P12521.
