Scope and content
Image depicts a truck parked beside Vic's Garage, with the blacksmith shop in the background. Alex Menard's blacksmith shop was located on Lot 24, Block 5 on 48 Avenue (Edward Street). His shop was built about 1905 or 1906. Vic's Garage was built in 1928. The first Vic's Garage owned by Vic Nordquist was located on the east side of Railway Street and was destroyed by fire in October 1927. He then rebult it on Block 3, Lots 1 & 2 (northwest corner of 50 Street and 48 Avenue) as shown in the picture.
