General note
The site, located 100 km east of Calgary on the Bow River, was excavated under the direction of H.A. Huscher of the Smithsonian Institution. A trained man has carefully dug out this hearth, looking for any clues that will help reconstruct ancient life at the village. The earth under the hearth is usually burned to a bright orange color.
