Scope and content
File consists of an agenda for the Interactive Project Lab (IPL), Banff Boot Camp. The program ran August 14-22, 2002 and the program description reads: "
The Interactive Project Lab (IPL) accelerates the creative, business, and technical skills of Canadian talent, enabling the creation of viable start-up companies that produce innovative cultural and entertainment works.
Focused on the production of interactive projects, the IPL offers a series of opportunities for media producers and projects including:
Prototype Acceleration
Intensive Development Clinics
Funding Resources
In 2002 the IPL focused on the acceleration of market-ready interactive entertainment prototypes. In this year, the IPL accelerated four projects, catapulting Canadian new media talent onto the world stage. This highly collaborative program followed an iterative design process where all three founding institutions, the Banff New Media Institute (BNMI), l’institut national de l’image et du son (INIS) in Montreal, and the Canadian Film Centre’s Habitat in Toronto, designed and delivered the IPL in tandem, creating one of Canada's most flexible and responsive incubation programs in interactive media."
