Miss Gourlay was interviewed by Lynne French in Calgary, Alberta, on December 30, 1993. She discusses her career as a staff nurse and nursing educator, her professional involvement with AARN (President, 1985-1987), and her views of the political situation of nurses in Alberta. Since 1990 she has taught a series of workshops to nurses interested in entering independent practice. She notes that there are barriers to such practice: although public health nurses have operated in the community for many years, they do so as employees, and there is no Federal or Alberta legislation that permits nurses to have direct access to patients as independent health care providers. Miss Gourlay considers the ways such practice might be put into effect, beginning with public awareness of the nurses's role in community health.

The Harradence and company series consist predominately of textual records in the form of financial records depicting an Alberta criminal law practice from 1954 to 1979. The legal records series consists of bar admission transcripts, students memoranda from the Court of Appeal, legal research files, and items related to Harradence's 1996 retirement celebration. The third series, reasons for judgment, provides a comprehensive collection of judgments on cases sat on by Harradence, and from 1990 to 1996 the Court of Appeal as a whole. Personal material contains textual records, photographs and cultural artifacts from Harradence's personal interests in flying and politics, as well as honours given to him.

B'nai Brith Cabinets and Committees (1986- 1989) The series consists of reports, correspondence, and other materials created by the Institute for International Affairs, Western Cabinet, the Northwest Regional Cabinet, and the International Affairs- Standing Committee on Human Rights. 5. League for Human Rights (1985- 1989) The series consists of newspaper clippings, correspondence, reports, and other materials relating to human rights issues arranged by subject.

The sous-sous-fonds consists of the records of the Bow River District U.F.A. and U.F.W.A. Political Association, and includes minutes and accounts of the association.

The fonds primarily consists of the records of John Campbell Bowen, but also of his wife, Edith Bowen and daughter, Ruth Bowen, and includes correspondence, sermons, notes, speeches and broadcasts, reports, memoranda of information, pamphlets, programs, certificates, diplomas and scrolls, newspaper clippings, diaries, daily journals while John Campbell Bowen was Lieutenant Governor including a number of materials from the 1939 royal visit, Government House visitors book, visitor calling cards, appointment cards, photographs including John C. Bowen and his family as well as the interior of Government House and a First World War propaganda poster. There is also a transcription disk of John C. Bowen receiving the Legion of Merit for encouraging the cooperation of American and Canadian Forces during the Second World War recorded by CKUA in 1948.
