The photographs include one photo of soldiers and nurses in front of St. Stephen's College, University of Alberta, one of Cadomin Mines, one of construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge in Edmonton, one of construction of the High Level Bridge in Edmonton, and one of the horse "Edgewood Boy" owned by Alex Galbraith and Sons, Edmonton.

Collection consists of an oral history by Hugh B. Evans about his experiences as a sailor on the Southern Cross Expedition, dated 1970, an index to a cash book dated 1905 from the Vermilion Branch of the Canadian Bank of Commerce and notes on the pioneer telegraph system in Alberta dated 1976, both compiled by Allen Ronaghan, a copy of the United Farmers of Alberta Union Local No. 139 minutes and membership roll, and a copy of the attendance register of the Batts School District No. 1960 dating 1918-1919.

The fonds consists of photographs and copied photographs dating from 1917 to 1978 which were collected and used in Our Bend in the Peace: The Story of Royce and Lubeck, and End of Steel: Hines Creek, a pictorial history, along with a newspaper clipping about Louie Garskie, and photocopied records about the 1928 surrender of the Beaver First Nation Reserve.

The collection includes a copy of a fictionalized article entitled "A suit for Herbie," by Terence Thompson, relating to banking in "Rose Valley," along with Thompson's account of how he came to Killam, Alberta as a Bank of Montreal employee and a letter addressed to Dutton from Thompson; and a copy of a biographical sketch entitled "The Saga of My Paternal Grandparents: Thomas and Margaret Henderson," by Ada Elizabeth Law, an account about the Henderson family's journey from Maple Ridge, British Columbia to Fort Edmonton, North-West Territories, in 1880 and their years homesteading in the Rabbit Hill area of Alberta, and an accompanying letter to Dutton from Irene Gillespie, Ada Elizabeth Law's cousin, who gave Law's article to Dutton.

Collection consists of copied photographs depicting various people, buildings, and views in Vegreville, Alberta and the surrounding areas, including log cabins, farming and farm houses, street views, buildings, businesses, agricultural machinery, carriages and carts, livestock, churches, hospitals, houses, residents of boys' homes, schools and school children, automobiles, barns, sports teams, nurses and nurses residences, Boy Scouts, sleighs and sleds, and railroads. The images date from the early 1900's to the early 1970's, predominantly from 1902-1955. Collection also includes a copied newspaper clipping about St. Joseph's Hospital circa 1961.
