Yukon Order of Pioneers collection

The collection consists of photographs which depict members of the Yukon Order of Pioneers in a parade in Dawson City, group shots in front of a log building, and a ceremony in front of the Territorial Administration Building in Dawson City. Textual records include the YOOP constitution and ritual.

The collection consists of letters from teachers around the world inquiring about Yukon job postings, Term Return for the Lambert Street School, teacher's monthly report for Whitehorse Elementary School, cost recovery sheets for children of federal employees, papers relating to official opening of Jack Hulland Elementary School and a Certificate of incorporation for the Yukon Teacher's Association.

World War One collection

Yukon Airways and Exploration Co. collection

The collection consists of papers relating to the death of John Melville Patterson, the chief pilot of Yukon Airways in 1929, a letter to White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) discussing advertising, a bill of sale for a Ryan Brougham airplane, a passenger, mail and express tariff, and an envelope commemorating the company's first flight.

White Pass and Yukon Route collection

The collection consists of 38 stamp impressions from sternwheelers under British Yukon Navigation Co. (BYNCo.), American Yukon Navigation Co. (AYNCo.) and White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR), three navigational charts for sternwheelers on the Yukon River, certificates from the Department of Marine and Fisheries for the sternwheeler Yukoner and motorboat Neecheah, 3 promotional booklets and an advertisement, a poster with a drawing of Bennett, a handbill for winter service, a letter to the Purser on the sternwheeler Klondike, dining room check from the Casca, freight notification cards, letter from J.A. Fairborn WP&YR agent in Mayo, employee identification cards, bill of lading book, mailway bills and receipts of American Yukon Navigation Co. and Northern Commercial Co. (NCCo.), and a driver's manual for the highway division.

Unidentified photographs collection

The collection consists of photographs taken in Dawson City including a group of people posing and playing on the tennis court, nurses and their friends, a view of the town from Crocus Bluff, the cable ferry and barges at the waterfront, and the firehall and fire fighting equipment. Also included are images of the Yukon River in the Whitehorse area during spring breakup, the interior of a house, people travelling by horse-drawn carriages, and a group of individuals snowshoeing, and hunting.

Unidentified album (#2) fonds

The fonds consists of photographs apparently documenting a trip to the Klondike Gold Fields though the order is not always sequential. The images are faded and locations and activities are difficult to identify. Subject matter includes a tent with a Union Jack flag, possibly a Royal North West Mounted Police (RNWMP) tent, men posing in front of the tent, an exterior view of Billy's Mug, a pub in a city, an ocean going vessel, Skagway, a man standing on a rail line probably in Skagway, a group of men travelling in winter with loaded sleds, log cabins, the Yukon River and rapids, a large body of water, possibly Lake Laberge, men hunting, Niagara Falls, and many unidentified scenic views.

Unidentified personalities photograph collection

The photographs were part of unidentified collections and were organized by "Personalities, Unidentified" for research and exhibit purposes. The scope of this collection is broad with a wide variation in format, size, subject matter, and dates. The images were taken by many different photographers, professional and amateur, in studios and natural settings, with people posing or candid. Some of the prints are professionally mounted and others extracted from an album, and many are loose prints. The subject matter portrayed includes people posing with big game trophies, riverboat crews, a work crew at the shipyard, life on the creeks, outings on frozen Lake Laberge, mine disaster survivors, individual and class photos, crowning of a school Queen, back stage of various amateur theatre productions, kids in a park, Rendezvous 1962, interiors of cabins or roadhouses, dance hall girls, prostitutes of Dawson City, young boys in uniform, a bridge party at Justice Macaulay's home, 1912 champion hockey team, reception for the Governor General Vincent Massey, men in fur coats, American service men in combat fatigues, first truck convoy from Whitehorse to Fairbanks November 20 1942, and the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP). There are various photographs of prospectors en route to the Klondike, out of doors concerts of the 18th Engineers Corps at Silver City, a series of midnight sun spectator group photos on the Midnight Dome in Dawson City, mining engineer's banquet 1905 in Whitehorse, a dance hall scene in Dawson City, and the Whitehorse Band. There is a series of North West Mounted Police (NWMP) group pictures at various stations, and the lost McPherson Patrol and the search party. The collection includes many images of First Nation people including a woman dancing accompanied by a man drumming, an Eskimo woman at St. Michael, Alaska, women at Moosehide Creek, women with birch bark baskets, Whitehorse July 1st 1967 celebrations with a man in a dance shirt and bear claw hat, Chief of the Teslin Indians with several other people in traditional dress, and Skookum Jim and the Carcross potlatch dancers.

Unidentified scrapbook (#1) collection

Collection consists of sequential photographs of the construction of Dredge #4 outside of Dawson City, Yukon 1940. One photograph includes an overall view of the construction site and the last photograph is Dredge #4 on an angle and partially submerged in a creek.

Unidentified album (#3) fonds

The fonds consists of photographs which illustrate traditional placer mining techniques, probably from Alaska. Pictures include water flumes, sluice boxes, water monitors, men with picks and shovels, and a winter scene on a trail with a fully loaded sledge near a campfire. Also included are four summer time scenes; a camp with a canoe and tent, and men cooking flapjacks and meat over open fires. Captions can be found on the backs of loose photographs in the album. People identified include Charlie Thompson and Tom Blais.
