Olga and Bob Hopkins were owners of the X-L Store in Millet from the early 1930s to about 1946. They had three children, David, Gordon, and Carolyn.

Photo shows the cenotaph flanked by the Union Jack and Red Ensign. Cenotaph was erected by Millet Branch No. 229 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Built by Gerald A. and Harry N. Scott. Funding for the bronze plaque was supplied by the Women's War Workers' Association of Millet.
