This fonds consists of a magazine article containing biographical information about the life of Rev. Oddur Gislason in Iceland and in Canada. The article has been translated from the Icelandic language.
Fred Brewer's 1912 diary recording a trip from Edmonton to the Peace River Country with party comprised of F. Olson, W. Martin, T. E. Denning and E. Johnston (the party got as far as Grouard) via three oxen and carts in 1912. The diary is supported by newspaper articles, a bill of sale for the oxen and photocopied photographs.
Jim Thompson was a real estate agent in Athabasca Landing, and later Mirror Landing, who was associated with Jim Cornwall. He took photographs and collected colour postcards of the area including Egge's Stopping House, the Thompson home at Mirror Landing, Saulteaux (Soto) Landing, SS Midnight Sun, SS Midnight Call, Athabasca Forwarding Company at Mirror Landing, E. S. Viens General Merchant and Cornwall Rooms at Mirror Landing, Jim and Hazel Thompson, Nollie Nicol and a pet moose. Photographs # 11532, 11534 - 11544. The colour postcards are from the N. T. Coy series.

The fonds consists of the proceedings of the 13th session of Alberta Loyal Orange Lodges; a list of Orange Lodges in Alberta in 1919; newspaper articles and 1 sheet of information regarding the Strathcona Orange Lodge building. The artifact is the seal of the Midnight Sun Loyal Orange Lodge in Athabasca. The seal is affixed to a 20cm wooden handle.
The records include for the years 1931 - 1938: financial information; correspondence; Statements of Grant; Inspector of Schools reports, contracts, supplies orders and censuses for the years 1933, 1935, 1937 and 1938. Included in the correspondence, a letter by Edwin Parr forming a Trustee Association dated 1935.
