Fonds consists of records generated by the Association of Canadian Women Composers (ACWC), including the Association’s formation and its subsequent activities. The bulk of the records concern the administration of the Association itself and address issues related to governance, financial management, and member recruitment. Other records concern the Association’s public activities, including sponsorship of concerts featuring works by Canadian women composers and other public initiatives intended to increase awareness of and provide support for Canadian women composers. Records include correspondence, financial records, minutes, publications, press releases, media clippings, membership records and other material.
Fonds consists of the records created and kept by the Alberta Women’s Archives Association between 1989 and 2013. Records include materials related to the group’s outreach activities and special projects in women’s archival representation in Alberta; administrative documents relating to the governance of the Association and its members; financial records of the Association; and communications and publicity materials created by the Association.
The fonds consists of Board of Directors meeting minutes, Board motions, annual general meeting minutes, and monthly statistics of the Edmonton Women’s Shelter. Also included is a cookbook published by the Edmonton Women’s Shelter as a fundraising initiative and a clipping file of newspaper articles written about the Shelter.
The collection consists of records aquired by the Association of Canadian Women Composers archives. The materials, which include musical scores and sheet music, concert programs and flyers, media clippings, and sound recordings, were donated by ACWC members. They document the activities and contributions of women composers in Canada and elsewhere. Records consist of two series: Composer Files containing materials that relate to a single composer subject, and Other Materials containing records that relate either to multiple composers or to the subject of women composers more generally.
The fonds consist of Chapter Thirteen’s certificate of incorporation; minutes; history scrapbooks of both the prospective chapter from 1976 to 1979 and of Chapter 13 from 1980 to 1988 which include photographs of their events and singing competitions; and group portraits.
The fonds consists of records from 1974 to 1977 created by various committees who coordinated the commemoration of the International Women's Year 1975 in Edmonton. These committees included the International Women's Year Coordinating Committee, Ad Hoc Committee, the City of Edmonton's International Women's Year Steering Committee, and the Anthology Committee.
Records include newsletters, correspondence, minutes, finances, and a City of Edmonton proclamation. Majority of the fonds consists of nomination forms with supporting documentation for each category of the City of Edmonton Recognition Program. The fonds also includes a copy of the manuscript for the anthology titled, 1975 International Women’s Year Anthology and a copy of the final publication, which was published in collaboration with the City of Edmonton’s Public Relations Department.
