Biographical history

Harold Leonard Peterson was born in Binford North Dakota on March 17, 1907. He began his teaching career in Saskatchewan in 1928. However, in 1936 he left teaching and was employed by Candian Oil as a superintendent, as well as a warehouse supervisor. He remained with Canadian Oil until around 1960. On December 25, 1948 Harold married Minnie Howell. Harold and Minnie moved to Medicine Hat in the late 1950s.They had three sons together: Harlo of Colarado, Pat and Thomas, both of Meidicne Hat.

In 1960 Harold returned to his teaching career, taking up a position at Alexandra School for 11 years. This was followed by a one year period at Crescent Heights High School, followed by his retirement around 1972.

Harry was an amateur photographer. One of his favourite subjects was construction in Medicine Hat.

Minnie Peterson died on September 21, 1999, at the age of 76. Harold Peterson died on October 3rd, 2000 at the age of 93.
