The Grande Prairie Athletic Association appears to have been a coordinating organization for different sports and sports facilities in Grande Prairie: hockey, basketball, baseball, softball and tennis are included in this collection. Two major periods of activity were the July 1st Sports Day and the Winter Carnival. Gate receipts were the main source of funds, with donations and user fees adding to the coffers.
Custodial history
These records were donated to the Grande Prairie Museum by Wayne Rodacker, whose family came to the area circa 1930.

The fonds consists of: a financial journal, (1937-1940); and 2 books of cancelled checks, (1937-1938).
