Administrative history

The Friends of Red Deer Composite High School Association was incorporated at Red Deer, Alberta in 1987. Its purpose was to perpetuate the involvement of those who had attended the school and develop interest in its history. It has organized reunions of the school's alumni and collected historical material.

Records were transferred in 8 accessions between 1987 and 2021 from members of the Friends of Red Deer Composite High School Association and the Red Deer Composite High School Alumni Association.

Fonds consists of the records created, used, and accumulated by the Red Deer Composite High School Alumni Association and the Friends of Red Deer Composite High School Association in their activities commemorating the Red Deer Composite High School and organizing reunions for former students.

The types of records include agendas, minutes, newsletters, reports, correspondence, budgets, pamphlets, memos, and lists of officers for the Friends of RDCHS Association, videotapes of the RDCHS reunions and Red Deer, photographs from the Red Deer Composite High School including previous staff and students, and reunion programs.
