Scope and content
File consists of three copies of the agenda for the workshop (one looks to be a draft version). The program description is as follows: "Co-produced by the Edmonton New Media Initiative and The Banff Centre, this seminar brought together angels, venture capitalists, bank investors, investment funds, and government agencies from technology and content agencies. As well as learning about business planning and financing opportunities, participants heard a number of case studies of successful software and content projects that received a range of funding. Issues such as going public and software evaluation were discussed. We explored Canadian and international sources, private, and public, for the financing of multimedia content and software development. This workshop examined strategies for raising money, whether angel, venture, or bank capital. This seminar asked the questions: What is required to become a public company? What re the current routes for investment, loans, and grants? What about international money and co-production? The structure included keynote speakers, panels, and networking opportunities."
