Eva Marcus' parents were Meyer and Bunia Furman, who immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta from Pinsk, Poland and opened Furman's Tasty Bread on 97th Street in Edmonton. She married Alan Marcus of Marcus Furs, and together they had three sons, David, Marty and Gary.

Fonds consists of a photocopied photograph of the members of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta from 1946. Fonds also includes a history of the Furman family from 1999.
