Biographical history

The Canadian Northern and the Grand Trunk Pacific originally both passed near Edson. During WW I, the two merged into the Grand Trunk Pacific. By 1950, the GTP had merged with other railroad systems into the Canadian National.

Scope and content

Collection consists of items pertaining to Canadian National Railways. Items include a blueprint for the new lunchroom addition at the old station, various railway paperwork and forms, financial paperwork, history of the Big Eddy bridge and the new employee lodge, report on the "Mountain Divisional Point" at Jasper and plan for western transcontinental passenge train service.
