Biographical history

Constance Peterson (Barton), 1905-1988, was born near Chilliwack, B.C. Constance and Mel were married in 1935 and moved to Jasper in 194l where Mel was employed by the Canadian National Railways as a trainman. Their three children, Tom, Dorothy, and Mary were raised in Jasper. Mrs. Peterson conducted research in a number of areas including exploration, settlement, business and commerce, social life, tourism, genealogy, Jasper personalities, and the Yellowhead corridor.
