Biographical history
The Canadian Slovak League was established in 1932 by three branches of the Slovak League of America, in part as a fraternal-benefit society. By the mid 1960s there were 55 branches in Canada with over 3,000 members. Branch No. 65 was established in Calgary, Alberta in 1953 and operated until the 1990s.
