Biographical history
The Beiseker Mutual Telephone Company was originally part of the Acme Mutual Telephone Company until February 10, 1955 when it was incorporated under <em>The Companies Act</em> as the Beiseker Mutual Telephone Company. The company served the area around Beiseker, Alberta. Alberta Government Telephones (AGT) assumed provision of communication services in the area on March 26, 1973, and the Beiseker Mutual Telephone Company was dissolved in 1974.

Fonds consists of the business records of the Beiseker Mutual Telephone Company dating 1955-1974 and includes subscriber accounts, statements, annual reports, correspondence, telephone statistics, financial records, subscriber lists, certificates, shareholder lists, agreements, articles of association, and minutes.

Mr. J. H. Schmaltz, who was Secretary-Treasurer of the Beiseker Mutual Telephone Company, deposited these records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1974.
