History
The Communications Department was established in 1977 to publicize and promote Centre programs, coordinate public relations, and disseminate internal communications. The Department also had responsibility for audio/visual, photography, and printing services until 1983 and event ticket sales and audience development between 1989 and 1994. From 1994 to 1998 the Department merged with the Development Office under a single Director. Managers and Directors include Doug Hughes (1977-1979), Frances Jackson (1979-1981), Thomas Kouk (1982-1983), Larry Shorter (1984-1985), Joey Shulman (1985-1988), Jon Bjorgum (1988-1998), and Connie MacDonald (1999-).
