Image depicts the store, with a car parked in front of it at the southwest corner of 50 Street and 50 Avenue. The back part of the store was built by B. A. Van Meter in 1898 or 1899. The front part was built to the east boundary of the property on Main Street (Railway Street) in 1903. Other owners of the business were Fred Blades (1903-1907), W. A. Robertson (1907-1910), J. W. and P. J. Mullen (1910-1911), Farmers' Co-operative, Bert Wilkinson, manager (1911-1916), Karr Bros. (1916-1927), E. M. Furlong (1927-1929), E. G. Thorn (1929-1935), R. R. Hopkins (1935-1946), E. C. Baker (1946-1950), C. M. Gardiner (1950-1968). The store was demolished in the 1980s.
