North Western Utilities served the Northern Alberta until 1999 when Atco and North Western Utilities merged and became Atco Gas North. Canadian Western Natural Gas served southern Alberta until 1999 when Atco Gas and Canadian Western Natural Gas merged and became Atco Gas South. Atco Gas North and Atco Gas South are divisions of Atco Gas. Atco Gas Co. belongs to the ATCO Group.
